The man then went on to check his computer and told me the three other stores in the area that do stock my item. He added that they would ship to me upon request.
These helpful, cheerful people not only treated me with friendliness, they displayed a collegiality and team spirit that is a rarity today. I have noted this attitude in this store on more than one occasion. I will shop there again, though another BB&B is closer to me.

I came in especially to find an item that Google Shopping indicated was in stock at this location. But nay, nay, no such luck. As I was poking around in the sharply reduced display area, a fellow came and offered help. I told him what I sought, and he called a woman over, who knew that their stock of this line was being discontinued. However, she grabbed a ladder and brought down three baskets of items from the line that were destined for return to the distributor. Huzzah! There in one basket we're several of the item I had come in to buy.
